Game Ownership

RetroLAN is not a commercial game bundle. It is a bootable arcade environment and toolset for local play.

Included games

RetroLAN may include open-source, freeware, or demo-friendly games that are allowed to be redistributed with the image. Those games are included so users can test booting, controls, sound, network, and local play right away.

Commercial games

For commercial classics, you bring your own legally owned files. The Companion app may help copy an installed game folder or prepare supported archives, but RetroLAN does not sell or provide those games.

Local sharing

RetroLAN's local sharing feature is for convenience between your own sticks or between players who confirm they already own the game. Sharing a folder does not create a license to use that game.

Not allowed

• No pirated game files.
• No cracks, keygens, stolen CD keys, or account data.
• No bypassing DRM, storefront rules, or multiplayer service rules.
• No uploading or distributing commercial game files through RetroLAN as if they were included.

Compatibility requests

You can request compatibility for games you want to use with RetroLAN. A request does not mean the game will be bundled, sold, or redistributed. It means we may investigate how to help owners prepare their own legal copy.

Respect the original creators

RetroLAN exists because old PCs and local multiplayer are worth keeping alive. Please support the developers, publishers, and open-source communities behind the games you play.
