Open Source Notices

RetroLAN is built on top of open-source operating system components, tools, libraries, and games. Those projects deserve credit.

Operating system and tools

The RetroLAN boot image may include Debian GNU/Linux, Linux kernel components, live-boot/live-build tooling, networking tools, audio tools, Python, SDL/Pygame, DOSBox, Wine-related compatibility components, and other packages from their respective projects and distributions.

Included games

RetroLAN may include open-source or freely redistributable games such as OpenArena, Warzone 2100, Freeciv, DOSBox-ready examples, Armagetron Advanced, Teeworlds, BZFlag, Hedgewars, OpenTTD, and similar local-play friendly titles. Availability can change by release depending on compatibility and licensing.

Companion tools

The Companion may include helper tools such as Python, 7-Zip, innoextract, and related runtime libraries so users can prepare supported files without installing extra tools first.

Where notices live

License texts and notices are included with the USB image where practical, including package documentation inside the boot system and Companion tool license folders. The Companion folder may include a `Tools/licenses` directory for bundled preparation tools.

If an included component requires source code availability, written offer handling, or attribution that is missing or incorrect, contact support@retrolan.store. We will fix missing notices and point you to the relevant upstream source or distribution package.

Project names, game names, trademarks, and logos belong to their owners. Their inclusion or compatibility mention does not imply endorsement by those projects unless explicitly stated.
