Terms of Use

These Terms explain how you may use RetroLAN. By downloading, flashing, activating, or using RetroLAN, you agree to these Terms.

1. What RetroLAN is

RetroLAN is bootable USB arcade software for Intel/AMD PCs. It is designed to help you boot outside the installed operating system, connect local machines, run included free games, and prepare game folders that you legally own.

RetroLAN is sold as software. Unless clearly stated otherwise, we do not sell preloaded USB sticks, commercial game files, CD keys, ROMs, cracks, accounts, or subscriptions to third-party games.

2. Free and paid use

The free RetroLAN image may be used to test booting, hardware, networking, logs, the Arcade UI, the Companion app, and included free games.

A paid RetroLAN unlock enables paid features such as owner-prepared game folders, custom game slots, local game-folder sharing, and other paid workflow features shown at checkout.

3. License seats

Each paid seat unlocks one RetroLAN stick unless the product page says otherwise. You may reflash or repair that same stick and reactivate it when the activation system recognizes the same stick identity.

You may not resell, publish, leak, share, or automate paid license keys, activation codes, private builds, or server responses.

4. Your game files

You are responsible for the game files you add to RetroLAN. Only add, copy, transfer, or share files when you have the legal right to use them. RetroLAN does not grant rights to commercial games.

RetroLAN must not be used to distribute pirated games, cracks, stolen keys, account data, or files that bypass DRM or platform rules.

5. Compatibility

RetroLAN is built for common x86_64 Intel/AMD PCs and USB boot workflows. Compatibility depends on the PC, firmware settings, USB speed, graphics, sound, Wi-Fi hardware, and the game files you prepare.

The free image exists so you can test before buying. We can accept compatibility requests, but we cannot promise every PC, USB stick, game installer, or commercial game release will work.

6. Updates

Launch licenses include the first 12 months of RetroLAN software updates unless the checkout page says otherwise. Updates may improve compatibility, add included free games, fix bugs, or change features.

Some third-party games or tools may update on their own schedule. We do not control third-party projects or storefronts.

7. Safety and backups

Flashing RetroLAN erases the selected USB drive. Always check the selected drive before writing an image. Back up anything important before flashing, reinstalling, copying game folders, or using experimental builds.

RetroLAN is provided without a promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every event, school, venue, game, network, or PC.

8. Payments

Paid purchases may be processed by Lemon Squeezy or another payment provider shown at checkout. Payment providers may handle tax, receipts, payment methods, chargebacks, fraud checks, and some refund processing.

9. Termination

We may block future activations for keys that are refunded, charged back, leaked, abused, used for piracy, or used outside these Terms. This does not limit any mandatory rights you have under applicable law.
